1. what thickness is ok?

Aluminum is one kind of metal, aluminum thickness is 1-12mm, in generally, for the air conditioner, 1.2mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm thickness is enough. if the cover size is bigger, we suggest use 2mm, they will be strong enough. if the size is small, 1.2mm or 1.5mm is ok.

2. what's the different between powder coated, polyester and pvdf ?

these is three type surface treatment, powder coated is the cheapest one, polyester is in the middle, and the pvdf is the most expensive. for the quality,The powder coated is under 10 years. polyester is 10 years, pvdf is 15 years quality guarauteed.

powder coated and polyester is suitable for interior, pvdf is suitable exterior.
