Senphus’s range of heating cables can be installed under many different types of floor coverings, mainly used under tiled and stone floors, they are also suitable under many types of vinyl, carpet and bonded wooden floors, in these cases a layer of flexible levelling compound needs to be installed over the cables first – around 8 -10mm (please contact our technical advice centre before installing any of our products if you are in any doubt of the correct installation process or if you are unsure of floor covering compatibility).

Senphus Underfloor heating cables are extremely easy to install. Our ultra thin 2mm cable is rated at 10w per linear meter, the cable spacing determines the output of the heating system for instance-

Spacing at 10cm apart = 100w per m2
Spacing at 7.5cm apart = 135w perm2
Spacing at 6cm apart = 150w perm2

The loose cable system makes it ideal for bathrooms and areas that have many fixed appliances like toilets and sinks etc.

Dual conductor cables

Senphus cables are all constructed by using dual core cables, this means that only one end has to be connected to the thermostat, the cable insulation is made from fluoropolymer (better known as Teflon) this means that our cables are extremely strong, beware of cables that are constructed from PVC as this can deteriota over time.
