The year 2025 is a pivotal year for deepening Pakistan-China agricultural cooperation. At this year's Pakistan-China Investment Conference, enterprises from both sides signed 39 Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) and four joint venture (JV) projects, with a total cooperation value exceeding USD 4 billion. This demonstrates the strong momentum and broad prospects of bilateral cooperation. Building on this solid foundation, the upcoming "Pakistan-China Agricultural Investment Fair" is poised to further provide a practical platform for enterprises from both countries in agriculture, food, fisheries, cold chain logistics, and related fields. It aims to foster more concrete collaboration, drive the implementation of substantive projects, and advance practical cooperation in agriculture, food processing, and associated industries between Pakistan and China.

The "Pakistan-China Agricultural Investment Fair" is organized by the Government of Pakistan, with the joint support of the Embassy of Pakistan in China and its Consulates General in Chengdu, Guangzhou, Shanghai, and Hong Kong. Originally scheduled for late December 2025, the event has been rescheduled to *January 21–22, 2026(a two-day event) in Islamabad to facilitate participation by Chinese enterprises, considering the proximity of the original dates to the Chinese New Year holiday.
The event will focus on key areas including agricultural inputs and technology, seed industry, food processing and value addition, meat/poultry/dairy products, fruits/vegetables/animal feed, fisheries and aquaculture, and cold chain logistics and food packaging. It covers the entire industry chain from production to distribution, offering diverse cooperation scenarios and readily accessible business opportunities.
To ensure efficient participation and targeted matchmaking, the organizer has specially arranged two core activities during the event: a Ministerial Policy Briefing and B2B Business Matching Sessions. The Ministerial Policy Briefing will feature relevant Pakistani ministries introducing policies, cooperation mechanisms, and support measures related to agriculture, food processing, investment, and trade. The B2B Business Matching Sessions will be centrally organized by the government to facilitate one-on-one or group discussions between Chinese and Pakistani enterprises.
