A source revealed to The New Indian Express that the Indian government has recently issued a global directive to its embassies and consulates abroad to "fully resume tourist visa processing for Chinese citizens." This move aligns with a series of "people-centric measures" agreed upon by both India and China to stabilize bilateral relations.

According to a report by India's New Delhi Television (NDTV) on the 22nd, cited by Global Times, the Indian government has fully resumed issuing tourist visas to Chinese citizens in an effort to promote the normalization of India-China relations. This move is regarded by Indian media as another significant signal of the ongoing thaw in bilateral relations between the two countries.
According to reports, in July this year, India resumed tourist visa processing for Chinese citizens after a five-year hiatus, though initially only through the Indian Embassy in China and its consulates in Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Hong Kong. The New Indian Express noted that the recent expansion of visa processing services worldwide reflects India's growing confidence in the current trajectory of bilateral relations.
Notably, China Eastern Airlines announced on November 9 that its India route has officially resumed operations, with the outbound flight of the inaugural service achieving an occupancy rate of over 95%. The airline also plans to restore the Kunming-Kolkata route and launch a new Shanghai Pudong-Mumbai route, further expanding the flight network between China and India. Additionally, according to a report by India's Business Standard on the 18th, Air India plans to resume direct flights between New Delhi and Shanghai starting February 2026, with four weekly flights. The airline also intends to launch direct flights between Mumbai and Shanghai. This marks Air India's return to the Chinese mainland market after six years.

The spokesperson for the Chinese Embassy in India stated in a social media post on October 26th: "The resumption of direct flights between China and India has become a reality." The Hindustan Times reported that this marks a significant milestone in the two countries' efforts to restore normal travel connections. The Indian government expressed that the resumption of flights will facilitate "people-to-people exchanges" and contribute to the "gradual normalization of bilateral relations."
ACREX 2026--The Largest Cooling Exhibition in South Asia is Coming to India!
In recent years, India's economy has developed rapidly. In 2019, India's GDP was $2.85 trillion, and by 2024, it had reached $3.85 trillion, ranking fifth globally, with an astonishing average annual growth rate of over 6%. India is expected to surpass Japan in 2025 to become the world's fourth-largest economy.
China's exports to India have also continued to grow steadily. In 2024, trade between China and India reached $138.48 billion, with exports to India amounting to $120.481 billion, a year-on-year increase of 2.4%. India has quietly become the fifth-largest destination for China's exports (following the United States, Vietnam, Japan, and South Korea), far surpassing traditional trade partners such as Russia, Germany, and Italy. Particularly from January to May 2025, trade between China and India reached $61.58 billion, a year-on-year increase of 10.3%, with exports growing by 15.1% to $54.1 billion, indicating a further acceleration in growth momentum.

The rapidly growing economy and the accelerated development of infrastructure have further driven the demand in India's refrigeration and air conditioning market, creating more opportunities for Chinese enterprises to explore the Indian market.

From March 12 to 14, 2026, the 25th India Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Exhibition (ACREX) will be grandly held at the Mumbai Exhibition Centre.
ACREX is the largest and most prestigious refrigeration and air conditioning exhibition in South Asia. Organized by the Indian Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air Conditioning Engineers (ISHRAE), the event holds significant influence across India and the broader South Asian market. Each year, it attracts a large number of globally renowned enterprises to exhibit. Notably, over the past three years, even without large-scale participation from Chinese companies, the scale of ACREX has at least doubled compared to 2019, with more brands exhibiting than ever before—and this number continues to grow steadily.
Our company is the official Chinese general agent for ACREX. For many years, we have been dedicated to supporting Chinese enterprises in exploring the Indian market. Each year, over 30 Chinese companies consistently participate in the exhibition through our group or other arrangements, with several having joined us for four consecutive years in agency exhibition models. These collaborations have yielded excellent results, and these companies have decided to continue participating with us in the next edition of ACREX.
In 2026, seize the opportunity to expand into India. We welcome inquiries and registrations—let’s embrace the booming window of India’s refrigeration market together.

The organizing committee of RACC was present at the 24th India Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Exhibition (ACREX) in 2025.
